Delighted to welcome back CAIT Roscomáin to our school to progress on last years learning. Over the next 7 weeks the students are learning/revising their basic typing skills, using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint in their work and getting an introduction to computer coding/programming. 💻👏

We were delighted to have been accepted onto the BLAST Arts & Creativity in Education Residency 2024/2025. We are lucky enough to be working with Denise from the Leitrim School of Art . The students have been learning techniques for working with clay and have been working hard creating clay projects of totem spoons. A totem tells a story of the maker and the spoon is a symbol of sharing. Each one tells a story about the students interests and personality. They have done a fantastic job and we look forward to seeing their finished pieces after their final

🎾 Delighted to have our tennis coach John back in the school for another block of lessons. The students are making great progress 🎾

Today marks the end of ‘Maths Week Ireland’. We want to acknowledge the huge amount of effort and work the children put into their Maths activities this week. We covered number work, length, shape, volume & capacity and time and even brought it into our PE as part of our ‘Active School’ initiative. The children showed excellent team work in their problem solving and the Senior students were fantastic in supporting the Junior Room. We were so impressed by their efforts and really enjoyed the weeks activities. Well done all 🤩👏 #mathsweekireland #ActiveSchools

🤩 Our Junior Infants have made a fantastic transition to primary school, learning, having fun, and making progress every day. Sorting and matching objects. Using classroom items to create 2D shapes. Colour wheel experimenting using the 3 primary colours to make purple orange and green. Practising their letter formations. 👏
